FRZNBE: Bali

We went to Bali last June 2015 as a recce trip for our upcoming group (80 pax) in October. The weather is so nice, sunny but the wind is cooling as the wind from Aussie (which is in Winter) affect the weather there.

We took MAS and our flight is at 1230. We reach there earlier from the schedule but then the airport was busy with other flights hence our landing was delayed for approximately 40 mins This is important for you to set your itinerary because apparently the flight in flight timing in Bali is kinda messed up since there are many flight landed at the same time.

The airport is big and beautiful. From our experience visiting Indonesia airport, we believe Bali airport is the best - at the moment. Below is our simplified itinerary for our recce trip.

Day 1

Late lunch at Pawon Pasundan. They serve sunda food.
Visit Krishna ole ole bali. This is the place where Indonesian shop for souvenir. It is big and got almost everything from t-shirt, keychain, fridge magnet to painting. We suggest you to buy the souvenirs here except the shirt (I Love Bali kind of shirt) as the quality is not that good.
Check in hotel. Bliss surfer is a nice hotel. The concept is surfing and it is kinda fresh and young. The hotel is a 3 star but it does feel like a 4 star hotel.
Dinner at local restaurant. Experienced bebek goreng

Day 2

Breakfast at hotel
Visit tanjung Benoa and turtle island. Tanjung Benoa is a busy place and it’s kinda crammed with people doing seasport activities and Tanjung Benoa is definitely a tourist trap. You just take picture with turtle, birds, phyton etc and they will sell you your pictures at the end of the tour.
Lunch at Natrabu – they served nasi padang and we really love it
Pandawa beach – Also called as a secret beach. It is more relaxed than Tg Benoa and is so beautiful. You can just take your time, sun bath and have ice cold drinks here and enjoy the view.
Uluwatu temple
Watch Kecak dance. There are many kecak dance show in Bali but the one in Uluwatu is the best according to our ground operator
Dinner at Jimbaran. I have been meaning to try this. Since all of the ground agent will include dinner at Jimbaran in the itinerary but I can say that I am disappointed (maybe my expectation is too high). I don’t like to eat in dark and the food is so-so.

Day 3

Breakfast at hotel
Went to Bali cruise (Our bali trip highlight!)
Depart to Lovina.
Stop local restaurant for Dinner. We had Ayam Taliwang (this is Lombok specialty)
Check in at Aditya Beach Resort Lovina - Simple basic hotel. Mediocre breakfast.

Day 4

Watch sunrise and experience Bali dolphin
Breakfast at hotel
Kintamani tour
Lunch at Kitamani
Visit Tegalalang
Tanah lot
Dinner at Wong Solo - yummy
Check in Kuta station - The hotel is simple. Location is great. Near Kuta beach and waterboom.
